On April 14th, Rotary Global Grant Scholar, Jaclyn Grace, provided an update on her university experience at the club's virtual meeting. Jaclyn is in her first year of studies in Peace and Conflict Resolution at Oxford University in the United Kingdom, and managing her academics in the midst of the COVID19 environment. She and her husband have been welcomed into the university and Rotary environment, which is rich with other Rotary scholars. Jaclyn has had to modify her summer in-field plans and is now pursuing research around influences and motivational factors of extremist groups. Her goals are to better understand not only those factors that motivate people to pursue extremist activities, but also the elements of communities that provide counterbalance and resistance to those tendencies. We wish Jaclyn continue success in her studies.
