Canice Chinyeaka Enyiaka
Project Director Stewards of Hope

Rev. Fr. Canice Chinyeaka Enyiaka holds a Ph.D. in development studies and public policy with a focus on Peacebuilding, Governance, Human Security and Integral Development. Ordained to the Catholic Priesthood in 2000, Rev. Canice served in different capacities of high responsibility with positive accomplishments both in Nigeria and the United States. Guided by his strong belief in the inviolable dignity of the human person, Rev. Canice upholds that a peaceful and healthy global community where the freedom and welfare of human beings are enlarged regardless of race, gender, creed and social status ought to be our common goal.

In 2012, he founded STEWARDS OF HOPE, a nonprofit organization whose goals are to provide wheelchairs, support to people with disabilities and hope to the poor. His first-hand experience with persons living with different forms of disabilities in the rural areas of Nigeria has strengthened his deep value for the dignity of the human person as the image of God and the need to care for the needy and the vulnerable instead of marginalizing, and discriminating against them. The plight of individuals living with disabilities especially lack of education, health care, employment and other required social services continue to confront and challenge our human family and inspires Rev. Canice to make a difference. Born in Nigeria, he worked for many years in different capacities before migrating to the United States in 2010.
