Welcome friends, guests and Rotarians to the Rotary Club of Capitol Hill's virtual home! We hope to meet you not only online, but also in person at one of our upcoming service events, social gatherings, or club meetings.
What is Rotary? Rotary is an international network that connects 1.2 million Rotarians in 33,000 clubs on six continents around the world. Rotary clubs bring together dedicated individuals to exchange ideas, build relationships, and take action to make a positive impact in the community both locally and globally. In Rotary, we know that we can do more together than we could ever hope to do alone. "Service Above Self" is the Rotary motto and the driving principle on which our service is based.
The Rotary Club of Capitol Hill is service-driven, diverse, and members collectively speak numerous languages. With partners across D.C. we support a range of service projects in and around the District. We are passionate about improving living conditions, education and opportunities for our local community. In addition, we embrace opportunities to contribute to bettering international living standards with Rotarians around the world. This includes working with Rotarians in Nepal, Bolivia and Afghanistan. We hope that our contributions can help build momentum to better lives for those most in need.
Several of our local partnerships include Central Union Mission, OneWorld Education, the Raney-Moss Group and DASH (District Alliance for Safe Housing). We also work with other non-profits on the Hill and are always looking to build new partnerships.
If you are interested in joining us in fellowship or actively looking to make a difference in our community, come meet us. We welcome a chance to host you at one of our club meetings. We meet the second and fourth Tuesday mornings of each month. Join us at The Dubliner for breakfast (7:30 - 8:30AM). It's a great way to start your day out!
Till we meet - best wishes to you and safe travels.
